Storm damage roofing in Austin: common questions
How soon after a storm should the roof be inspected?
As soon as it is safe to get on it. Most policies impose a duty to prevent further damage once you know about it, and hail bruising is easiest to document while the evidence on the ground, such as dented gutters, bruised AC fins and spatter on soft metals, is still fresh.
Do you charge for a post-storm inspection?
No. The inspection and the written photo report are free with no obligation, and the report is yours regardless of who does the work.
Do you handle the insurance claim?
We document damage, produce a written scope and meet your adjuster on the roof with the evidence. We do not adjust or negotiate claims, which is a licensed role in Texas, and coverage decisions rest with your carrier. If a claim needs a licensed public adjuster or an attorney, we will say so.
Will you cover our deductible?
No, and no contractor in Texas legally can. An offer to waive, absorb or rebate a deductible usually means the invoice has been inflated to cover it, and the resulting claim is in the property owner's name.
Can hail damage a roof without leaking?
Routinely. Hail fractures the membrane or bruises the shingle mat without opening a hole, and the roof keeps shedding water for months or years until that weakened area fails. A roof that is not leaking can still have a valid claim, which is why ground-level checks miss most of it.
Do you work on homes, or only commercial buildings?
Both. The company is built around commercial and multifamily work, and we also handle residential roofing, siding and gutters, which matters after hail because one storm usually damages all three.
How fast can you get out after a major storm?
Our standard is a 2-hour emergency response for active water intrusion, 24/7. During a regional event every roofer gets calls at once, so we work active leaks first and give you a real arrival window rather than a comfortable one.
What areas do you cover?
Austin and the surrounding metro: Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Leander, Kyle and Buda.
